Jürgen Moltmann, a German Protestant theologian, was in Seattle for a talk, not long ago and I was assigned by Seattle Pacific University to photograph him for their alumni publication Response. He was very interesting to photograph and I enjoyed hearing him speak about his book Theology of Hope.

His liberation theology is also interesting as it includes an understanding of both the oppressed and the oppressor as needing reconciliation. “Oppression has two sides: on one side there is the master, on the other side the slave… Oppression destroys humanity on both sides.”

Photograph by Daniel Sheehan Photography who specialize in people and portraits and travel everywhere to shoot weddings in a photojournalist style that is real, straightforward, subtle and unobtrusive. Daniel was named among the best Seattle wedding photographers by the Wedding Photojournalists Association.

New Vintage, New Design

:Nota Bene Cellars is releasing their 2007 vintage wines and I recently photographed the entire lineup of bottles for them. they were especially interested is showing off their new label design and their large format bottles. The photos will be used on their website when it gets updated very soon. They had started out with just three different wines when I first photographed their wine a few years ago. It is good to see them growing bigger and bigger. Their wines are some of my favorite Washington State wine. Photographs by Daniel Sheehan Photography. He also runs a business named “A Beautiful Day Photography.” Explore the candid wedding photography there and see why he was named the best wedding photographers in Seattle by the WPJA. Corporate documentary photography

I have been documenting the construction of a new barber shop and hair salon called nola for the past 4-5 weeks and thought I would post some of the photos here. It is located in the Seattle neighbrhood of Fremont on the border with another neighborhood called Wallingford.

Mike Strassburger of Modern Dog was swinging a hammer and some other great tools today down at nola. They are really making progress towards opening. Despite not being done with construction, there has been a steady stream of clients for both Jenny and Brandon Trimble.

Teh west wall is just about ready with the panelling done. All that awaits is for the windows to be cut out and dropped in place.

Two underage clients Tula and Claire await their turn for a wash and dry at the sinks.
Photos are by Seattle wedding photographer Daniel Sheehan who is documenting the construction with his photography. More photos to follow as the construction continues and they finally get to a grand opening.
